It's like Bobablog, only different. A few of my favourite photos will go on here as and when I can be bothered to put them up. Don't get excited, nothing nudey or nowt like that. Probably. In case you wondered, yep, every photo is copyright to me, 2005. Ask me before you use them and I might even send you a higher resolution one.

Mam Tor

At the beginning of the summer a group of us bundled into cars and went for a wander up Mam Tor.
Bit windy up there..

Brighton Beach

One of the real advantages of living in Brighton is the fact that the beach is actually inviting. Coming from a town where, for a long time, the beach was just the part of the town that stank of seaweed and fish... it's quite a nice change.

Where I live

I figure that these photos don't always have to be those perfect arty shots, and that sometimes I can get away with some snapshots.

So here's a couple of the area that I live in, lovely Brighton...

Beirut Towers / Embassy Court
Beirut Towers / Embassy Court.

Until about 6 months ago, this place was in an absolute mess. A real shame since you could see that it was a beautiful art-deco place. Thankfully they've recently done some refurbishment work on it, starting with a lot of painting. The entrance is currently boarded up, so fingers crossed they're doing some good work on the interior.

Update:I've found evidence of the previous state of Embassy Court. See it here

Brighton Marina

We were down at Brighton Marina this weekend. Gotta love looking at boats in glorious sunshine!

On the way down we spotted the preparation for a sand sculpture contest... hopefully next weekend will be just as nice so we can get down there to check it out properly!

Simon

I'm never really sure about portraits, but I'm proud of this one. Such a good image of the mood we were in at the time.

Trafalgar Square

OK, so I took a few shots before I got this how I wanted it, but it was a lot of fun playing with exposure lengths. Fountains are perfect for really showing you the implications of the choices you make!

A view from St. Paul's

Three posts in one day...

The final one's from a lucky break: a visit to St Pauls as the sun sets.

Cheers to Toast for spotting this photo opportunity, and also to Alex and Ant for having this view out of their balcony.
It only took two attempts to get this shot of a train flying by...

Sakurajima

Well, I've finally managed to get my photos onto a web enabled machine, so here goes with a few of the photos I love.
Taken on New Year's Day, 2005, this shot is of the most active volcano in Japan, Sakurajima, taken looking over some of the lava forms left behind from one of its eruptions.
Whilst not the most explosive in the world its still managed to spawn a few minor islands in its time...
